- Do you accept third party payments? If the credit card holder is not traveling, you need to email us the request and we need a signed credit card authorization before we can charge your card. You can print a credit card authorization form here.
- Why don?t you issue paper tickets anymore? To reduce costs and save time most airlines prefer to issue e-tickets. It is as safe to purchase e-tickets, as it is to purchase paper ones. Most airlines will charge you a minimum $50 extra if you prefer paper tickets. Some airlines or some combinations of airlines require us to issue you paper tickets. In this case, you will not be charged a ticket fee, but you will be charged a shipping fee.
- Why aren?t the names of the airlines displayed until after the time of booking? In order to preserve the low rates negotiated with the airlines, we are not allowed ? for certain routes and dates ? to display the name of the airline. You will see the name of the airline and the complete routes as well as the details of the flight once you book. We guarantee it will be a major airline.
- Why is the final price much higher than the one you advertised? If you came to our site following a link advertising a certain fare, you might find that the advertised price does not match the final price. This can happen for a variety of reasons. First, there are taxes and fees associated with international flights, which are not included in the advertised price. (Read below). Second, it could happen that at the time of booking all seats in that advertised price range might have sold out. There are a limited number of seats associated in a certain price range. Airlines update their prices as often as six times a day. It is a good idea to book your flight in advance to avoid a hike in fares. In any case, the total price you will see before proceeding with your credit card information will be the amount your credit card will be charged (no surprises there).
- Do I need travel insurance? How can I purchase insurance? We strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance, although you have the option of declining it. For example, if an unforeseen event occurs before your departure and you have to cancel the trip, you will be reimbursed for all or some of the costs. Otherwise, chances are you will pay cancellation fees and lose money. Please read our insurance information before deciding either way. Should you choose to purchase insurance, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you. You must purchase insurance at the time of purchase - an email to us will solve the problem.
- Do I need to confirm my flight? It is always a good idea to call the airline 72 hours in advance to confirm your reservation, especially if you booked your vacation months in advance. Once you book a ticket on our site, you will receive a booking number and you will be able to check the status of your booking on our website.
- What kind of documents do I need for leaving the country? We are not responsible for providing documentation information for your trip. You can access the State department links on our website. We recommend you check with your destination?s country consulate in advance before embarking on your trip. Please pay special attention to children traveling with only one parent. You will need a passport to visit Europe. If you are a non-US citizen or a legal alien resident, you might have additional restrictions.
- What is the deal with airfare and airport taxes? Please keep in mind that for international itineraries, foreign and domestic fees can total up to $200, depending on your routing and destination. U.S. government-imposed charges include a $13.70 international departure tax, a $13.70 international arrival tax, and $15.10 in immigration and customs fees. Foreign taxes will fluctuate based on the prevailing exchange rate. We do not charge processing fees. Please note that ? should you desire a paper ticket ? there will be additional costs related to issuing the paper ticket and mailing it to you. Since those taxes are fluctuating, it is rather difficult to include them when advertising certain prices for certain destinations. However, the final price you will see on the screen will include all taxes and will be the amount your credit card will be charged.
- Can I purchase a ticket for a person who is overseas? It depends. Certain restrictions apply in accordance with our contracts with the airlines. Please send your itinerary request to tickets@flycheapabroad.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. In case we are able to honor your request and if you agree with the itinerary provided, you will need to access our website and print out a credit card authorization that you would need to fill out and fax back to us to process your request.
- Is the FedEx Delivery for paper tickets going to cost me anything? Our FedEx Fees are: Overnight: $30 Regular 2 days: $ 15
- Can I do travel arrangements for my pet through your web site? We do not have any information as far as pet's reservation is concerned. You would actually need to contact the carrier directly to get any information and to make your pet?s reservation.
